This summer, we submitted our application for a second funding period to continue our Collaborative Research Center 1436 with the DFG. We reflect proudly on the past four years, which began under challenging circumstances in the research landscape. This period has been marked by significant research findings, numerous scientific events, exceptional publications, and the establishment of a valuable network that has enhanced collaboration and exchange.
The DFG has informed us that we can continue our important research for another four years. Alongside our esteemed partners – the Charité in Berlin, the Free University of Berlin, the University Hospital Heidelberg, the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases, the Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology, and the University Hospital Leipzig – we will explore significant questions in the field of cognitive research during the funding period from 2025 to 2028. Our goal is to develop insights that promise to have a far-reaching impact.
