Once again this year, Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, with the help of the graduate schools Synage and RTG 2408, the Collaborative Research Center 1436, the “cognitive vitality” initiative and with the support of the Leibniz Institute of Neurobiology in Magdeburg, would like to cordially invite all interested female scientists to the Women’s Career Days.
The theme of this year’s Female Career Days is “Empower, elevate, excel! – Your journey as a female scientist”.
There is also a new concept for the new theme this year.

Kick off “Female Career Days 2024: Empower, elevate, excel! – Your journey as a female scientist”
We start with a kick-off event on October, 17th 2024 at the Oli-Kino in Magdeburg.
Dr. Juliane Handschuh will give a lecture on “The Matilda Effect: How women are made invisible in science”, providing the ideal setting for the subsequent film “Hidden Figure”. Afterwards, female scientists will be able to share their experiences in a discussion about the challenges facing women in STEM fields.
All genders are welcome to attend.

On November 28th, we will continue with an online workshop on the topic of “Networking for professional success”.
The thematic focus here will be on personal career planning
