From November 25 to 29, 2024, our second writing retreat for CRC 1436 took place. A group of 25 CRC members traveled to the idyllic setting of Warnemünde to dedicate an entire week to their writing projects. The cozy atmosphere of the Warnemünder Hof provided the perfect environment for focused and productive work.
Many of our doctoral candidates, now in the process of writing their dissertations as the first CRC funding period concludes, seized this opportunity to advance their work. Project leaders and postdocs, who used the retreat to make significant progress on papers and grant proposals, joined them.
The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many describing the week as a great success. The combination of focused writing time, a supportive environment, and the tranquil surroundings of Warnemünde created an ideal space for creativity and productivity. This retreat exemplified the collaborative and forward-looking spirit of our CRC community.
