On June 15th, 2025, PhD representatives and coordinators from the IRTG of CRC1436, DZNE, MPI, and FNW invited everyone to trade the lab routine for the smell of grilled food, picnic blankets, and great company – at the official OvGU PhD BBQ in Nordpark. The weather? Classic unpredictability – first sunshine, then rain. But just like in science: adaptability is everything!
The invitation promised BBQ, nature, and chill vibes – and that’s exactly what we got. Good mood, sizzling grills, and engaging conversations – like a well-coordinated neural network firing in perfect social synchrony. Then came the rain. But instead of retreat, there were umbrellas, laughter, and soaked t-shirts. A true display of resilience – both scientific and human.
