The lecture by Onur Güntürkün “Die parallele Evolution komplexen Denken“ opens the XV Learning & Memory Conference, which is aimed at a specialist audience. With this public kick-off, we want to create a space where interested guests can meet scientists and engage in conversation about learning, memory, and intelligence.

Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Onur Güntürkün, biopsychologist at Ruhr University Bochum and recipient of the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize, introduces the world of intelligence research. He shows why birds can perform cognitive tasks despite their small brains – and what this tells us about the evolution of intelligence.
When: Sunday, September 28th, 07:00 PM
Where: Clinical Lecture Hall / Building 7 – Medical Faculty Campus
Please note: Admission is free and the lecture will be held in German.
