Andrés Jaramillo Flautero from Colombia joined our CRC as a guest researcher for 3 months.
Andrés holds degrees in Chemistry and Biology from the Universidad de Los Andes Bogotá and from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, and he has a great interest in the selective vulnerability of catecholaminergic neurons and circuits in the brain.
He wants to understand the proteomic changes in these neurons upon accumulation of reactive oxidative species during aging and neuropathological disturbance, also with respect to gender differences in brain resilience.
