Wir konzentrieren uns auf verschiedene inhibitorische Schaltkreise und ihre Auswirkungen auf kognitive Funktionen wie Ged\u00e4chtnisencodierung und -abruf. Durch den Einsatz von hAPP-Mausmodellen erforschen wir, wie Beta-Amyloidose diese Schaltkreise st\u00f6rt und zu Ged\u00e4chtnisdefiziten beitr\u00e4gt. An MCI Patienten zeigen wir wie Locomotion kognitiven Einschr\u00e4nkungen entgegenwirkt. Unsere Studie zielt auch auf potenzielle therapeutische Ziele, um wichtige neuronale Mechanismen der kognitiven Beeintr\u00e4chtigung bei Alzheimer In 2013 he finished his PhD and was a visiting scholar at UC Berkeley (2013-2014). Stefan Remy<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stefan Remy ist der wissenschaftliche Direktor des LIN, leitet die Abteilung Zellul\u00e4re Neurowissenschaft und ist Professor f\u00fcr molekulare und zellul\u00e4re Neurowissenschaft an der medizinischen Fakult\u00e4t der Otto-von-Guericke-Universit\u00e4t in Magdeburg. Er promovierte im Jahr 2003 an der Universit\u00e4t Bonn und forschte im Anschluss als Postdoktorand bei Heinz Beck an der Klinik f\u00fcr Epileptologie (Direktor: Christian E. Elger). Als Alexander von Humboldt-Stipendiat schloss er sich dem Department f\u00fcr Neurobiologie und Physiologe an der Northwestern University in Evanston, USA, an. Dort forschte er bei Nelson Spruston an synaptischer Plastizit\u00e4t und neuronaler Erregbarkeit. Im Jahr 2007 setzte er seine Forschungen mit Heinz Beck in Bonn fort, dort gr\u00fcndete er im Jahr 2009 seine eigene Forschungsgruppe, gef\u00f6rdert durch das Land Nordrhein-Westfalen. Bevor er im Jahr 2020 seine neuen Aufgaben am LIN antrat, forschte er 10 Jahre als Leiter der Arbeitsgruppe \u201eNeuronale Netzwerke\u201c am Deutschen Zentrum f\u00fcr Neurodegenerative Erkrankungen Bonn. Stefan Remy ist Sprecher des Center for Behavioral Brain Sciences (CBBS) und vertritt den Standort Magdeburg (im Verbund Jena-Magdeburg- Halle) am neu gegr\u00fcndeten Deutschen Zentrum f\u00fcr Mittels Floureszenz-in-situ-Hybridisierung Zelltyp-spezifischer mRNA k\u00f6nnen wir die Pr\u00e4velenz und die Verteilung der verschieden Zellpopulationen in wildtyp und transgenen Tieren vergleichen. In-vivo Zweiphotonen-Mikroskipie erlaubt es uns die Aktivit\u00e4t hunderter hippocampaler Neuronen aufzunehmen w\u00e4hrend transgene und wildtyp Tiere eine r\u00e4umliche Ged\u00e4chtnisaufgabe erf\u00fcllen. Mit Hilfe auf maschinellem Lernen basierender Analyse-Techniken m\u00f6chten wir Korrelate zwischen ver\u00e4ndertem Verhalten und gest\u00f6rter hippocampaler Aktivit\u00e4t w\u00e4hrend der Ged\u00e4chtnisaufgabe finden.\u00a0 Desweiteren erforschen wir inwiefern transgene Tiere Gebrauch von kognitiven Ressourcen machen um die krankheitsbedingte St\u00f6rung spezifischer hippocampaler Schaltkreise zu kompensieren.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3b5c262 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3b5c262\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Es ist bekannt, dass Bewegung bei Nagetieren die Hirnaktivit\u00e4t ver\u00e4ndert. In einem translationalen Ansatz untersuchen wir, ob die motorische Aktivit\u00e4t das Potenzial hat, die Theta-Aktivit\u00e4t des Hirnstroms zu regulieren, um somit zu einer Verbesserung der Ged\u00e4chtnisleistung bei Menschen zu f\u00fchren. Die Vorstellung, dass Bewegung und Kognition eng miteinander verbunden sind, geht auf die erstaunlich moderne peripatetische Philosophieschule im alten Griechenland zur\u00fcck. Eine zentrale Annahme ist, dass Bewegung Ged\u00e4chtnis, Aufmerksamkeit und kreatives Denken f\u00f6rdern kann. Bisher gibt es nur wenige Verhaltensstudien mit Menschen, die zeigen, dass z.B. das Gehen mit einer Verbesserung kreativen Denkens einhergeht.
